Ειδικά συστήματα παρακολούθησης στους δρόμους της Βαρκελώνης κατέγραψαν με την κάμερά τους την απίστευτη στιγμή κατά την οποία τουρίστες και ντόπιοι κάνουν ανέμελα την βόλτα τους στην πόλη πριν το φονικό βαν ξεκινήσει την πορεία του προκαλώντας το θάνατο αθώων ανθρώπων.

Στο βίντεο πρωταγωνιστούν άνθρωποι με τα ψώνια στα χέρια, ακόμα και μικρά παιδιά που ανυποψίαστα χαλαρώνουν με τους γονείς τους το απόγευμα της 17ης Αυγούστου.

Σύμφωνα με τις ισπανικές αρχές, το όνομα του οδηγού ήταν Younes Abouyaaquob.
