Όπως είπε η Μάγια Ντόνελι, «ευτυχώς που (στον Χουλκ) του αρέσει να κάνει βόλτες τη νύχτα και δεν ήταν στο σκυλόσπιτο. Μάλλον ήταν στην πύλη, βλέποντας το αεροσκάφος να περνάει».
Σύμφωνα με τους Ντόνελι, η αστυνομία του Νογκάλες εκτιμά πως η πιθανότερη εξήγηση είναι ότι η ρίψη έγινε κατά λάθος από ένα υπερελαφρύ αεροσκάφος από αυτά που χρησιμοποιούνται για το πέρασμα μαριχουάνας από το Μεξικό στην Αριζόνα.
