Ο υπουργός Οικονομικών της Γερμανίας Βόλφγκανγκ Σόιμπλε επανέλαβε, απευθυνόμενος στα στελέχη της ΕΚΤ, την προειδοποίησή του ότι η πολιτική ποσοτικής χαλάρωσης ενέχει τον κίνδυνο δημιουργίας ψευδών κινήτρων και εξασθένησης της βούλησης των κυβερνήσεων να εφαρμόσουν οικονομικές μεταρρυθμίσεις.

«Τρέφω μεγάλο σεβασμό στην ανεξαρτησία της κεντρικής τράπεζας», ανέφερε ο Σόιμπλε μιλώντας σε μια εκδήλωση περί της Ευρωπαϊκής ολοκλήρωσης στο Βερολίνο. «Αλλά έχω πει στα στελέχη της κεντρικής τράπεζας ξανά και ξανά ότι οι αποφάσεις τους για τη νομισματική πολιτική έχει τη διάσταση της ενθάρρυνσης ανάληψης κινδύνων χωρίς συναίσθηση της ευθύνης».
