Ρωγμές εντοπίστηκαν στο κτίριο του σχολείου της πρώην Ακαδημίας στο Ηράκλειο της Κρήτης μετά τον σεισμό 5,5 Ρίχτερ στα ανοιχτά της Ιεράπετρας- στο οποίο στεγάζονται το 53ο και το 54ο Δημοτικό Σχολείο. Όπως αναφέρεται σε δημοσίευμα του cretalive.gr, το σχολείο εκκενώθηκε προληπτικά.

Ωστόσο, δεν είναι βέβαιο αν οι ρωγμές είναι νέες, και αυτό θα ελεγχθεί από την Τεχνική Υπηρεσία του δήμου.
