Ο Ρώσος πρόεδρος Βλάντιμιρ Πούτιν υπέγραψε νόμο με τον οποίο επικυρώνει τη συμφωνία με την Άγκυρα για την κατασκευή του αγωγού μεταφοράς φυσικού αερίου, τον Turkish Stream.

Σύμφωνα με το Russian Today στις 20 Ιανουαρίου η Δούμα επικύρωσε τη συμφωνία και στη συνέχεια, την 1η Φεβρουαρίου, η κάτω βουλή ενέκρινε το έγγραφο.

Υπενθυμίζεται ότι η Ρωσία συμφώνησε με την Τουρκία τον Οκτώβριο του 2016 την κατασκευή δύο υποθαλάσσιων αγωγών που θα μεταφέρουν φυσικό αέριο από την Ρωσία στην Τουρκία μέσω της Μαύρης Θάλασσας.

Η ετήσια ποσότητα που θα μεταφέρει ο κάθε αγωγός εκτιμάται ότι θα ανέρχεται στα 15,75 δισ. κυβικά μέτρα φυσικού αερίου. Οι εργασίες αναμένεται να ξεκινήσουν το 2017 και να ολοκληρωθούν στα τέλη του 2019.
