Η Βρετανία παραμένει πιστή στη δέσμευσή της να «επιτύχει μια βαθιά και ειδική εταιρική σχέση με την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση», διαβεβαίωσε η συντηρητική Βρετανή πρωθυπουργός Τερέζα Μέι τον πρόεδρο της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής Ζαν-Κλοντ Γιούνκερ σήμερα, ανέφερε εκπρόσωπός της.

«Η πρωθυπουργός είχε μια εποικοδομητική συνάντηση απόψε με τον πρόεδρο Γιούνκερ», σημειώνεται σε ανακοίνωση που έδωσαν στη δημοσιότητα οι υπηρεσίες της.

«Μετά την επίδοση της επιστολής ειδοποίησης του ΗΒ (ότι αποχωρεί από την ΕΕ) βάσει του άρθρου 50, (σ.σ. η Μέι) επανέλαβε τη δέσμευση του ΗΒ να επιτύχει μια βαθιά και ειδική εταιρική σχέση με την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση», προστίθεται.
