Κρεμασμένος από το κορδόνι της αρβύλας του βρέθηκε 44χρονος Ανθυπασπιστής από τα Αρμόλια της Χίου. Τον 44χρονο ο οποίος υπηρετούσε στο 96 Τάγμα Υλικού Πολέμου Εθνοφυλακής (ΤΥΠΕΘ) εντόπισε ο 15χρονος γιος του ο οποίος και κάλεσε άμεσα σε βοήθεια.

Σύμφωνα με τον Πολίτη της Χίου ο 44χρονος είχε στείλει μήνυμα στη σύζυγό του λίγη νωρίτερα. «Κάνω το τελευταίο μου τσιγάρο, να προσέχεις τα παιδιά», έγραφε στη σύζυγό του ο πατέρας τριών παιδιών ηλιλίας 8,11 και 15. Όπως αναφέρει ο Πολιτης της Χίου μάλλον έδωσε τέλος στη ζωή του ανήμερα των γενεθλίων του.
