Σε 158 ανήλθαν οι νεκροί, από 50 που ήταν πριν από έναν μήνα, στην Ανγκόλα μετά το ξέσπασμα κίτρινου πυρετού πέρυσι στη χώρα, καθώς επιταχύνεται η εξάπλωση της νόσου, η οποία μεταδίδεται από τα κουνούπια, ανακοίνωσε σήμερα ο Παγκόσμιος Οργανισμός Υγείας (ΠΟΥ).

Αύξηση σημειώθηκε επίσης στα κρούσματα ελονοσίας, χολέρας και χρόνιας διάρροιας στη Λουάντα και άλλες πόλεις, εν μέρει εξαιτίας της κατάρρευσης των υγειονομικών υπηρεσιών της χώρας και των υπηρεσιών αποκομιδής απορριμμάτων, σύμφωνα με τους αξιωματούχους της υγείας της Ανγκόλας.
