Από τον εισαγγελέα της Μερσίνης ανακρίθηκε ο μουφτής του κατεχομένου τμήματος της Κύπρου, Ταλίπ Αταλάι, με την υποψία ότι διατηρεί σχέσεις με το Κίνημα Γκιουλέν. Σύμφωνα με τον τουρκοκυπριακό τύπο υπάρχουν υποψίες ότι ο Αταλάι χρησιμοποιούσε λογισμικό, με το οποίο επικοινωνούν τα μέλη της Οργάνωσης ΦΕΤΟ.

Ο κ. Αταλάι συνελήφθη στο Ντιγιάρμπακιρ, όπου οδηγήθηκε στην αντιτρομοκρατική υπηρεσία. Στην συνέχεια οδηγήθηκε στην Μερσίνη, όπου ανακρίθηκε από την εισαγγελία. Οι τουρκικές αρχές ερευνούν όλες τις επαφές και όλα τα ταξίδια του στο εξωτερικό.
