Οι αρχές του Μεξικό ανακάλυψαν 10 αποκεφαλισμένα πτώματα και 11 κεφάλια σε περιοχή στο νοτιοδυτικό τμήμα της χώρας.

Τα περισσότερα ακέφαλα πτώματα βρέθηκαν θαμμένα σε τάφους σε περιοχή περίπου 50 χιλιόμετρα ανατολικά της πρωτεύουσας της μεξικανικής πολιτείας Γκερέρο.

Σύμφωνα με τις αρχές τα θύματα έφεραν σημάδια βασανιστηρίων, ενώ τα χέρια τους ήταν δεμένα.

Τα 11 ασώματα κεφάλια βρέθηκαν σε διαφορετικό τάφο και είχαν τοποθετηθεί σε μαύρες πλαστικές σακούλες. Μέχρι στιγμής οι ταυτότητες των θυμάτων παραμένουν άγνωστες.
