Πολίτες που είχαν συγκεντρωθεί στη Νίκαια σήμερα, Δευτέρα, για να παρευρεθούν σε τελετή μνήμης για τα θύματα του τελευταίου τρομοκρατικού χτυπήματος, αποδοκίμασαν τον Γάλλο πρωθυπουργό, Μάνουελ Βαλς.

Τη στιγμή που ο Βαλς και άλλοι Γάλλοι υπουργοί αποχωρούσαν από την παραλιακή λεωφόρο όπου την Παρασκευή έχασαν την ζωή τους 84 άνθρωποι, πολίτες άρχισαν να τους γιουχάρουν, να τους χαρακτηρίζουν δολοφόνους και να ζητούν την παραίτησή τους. Σύμφωνα με τον Guardian, δεν ήταν λίγα τα πλακάτ που ζητούσαν την παραίτηση και του Γάλλου προέδρου, Φρανσουά Ολάντ.

Στο σημείο αυτό να αναφέρουμε ότι ο πρώην πρόεδρος της χώρας, Νικολά Σαρκοζί, είχε ασκήσει οξεία κριτική στην κυβέρνηση για το συγκεκριμένο περιστατικό, λέγοντας ότι «δεν έχει γίνει τίποτα από όσα έπρεπε να έχουν γίνει τους τελευταίους 18 μήνες (από τις επιθέσεις στο Παρίσι)». Πυρά κατά της κυβέρνησης έχει εξαπολύσει και η επικεφαλής του ακροδεξιού Εθνικού Μετώπου της Γαλλίας, Μαρίν Λεπέν.

Η κυβέρνηση με την σειρά της έχει υπερασπιστεί τις ενέργειές της, λέγοντας ότι τηρούνταν αυστηρά μέτρα ασφαλείας σε όλη την χώρα την ημέρα εορτασμού της Ημέρας της Βαστίλης.
