Πρόβλημα σε κινητήρα διαπίστωσε πιλότος σε αεροσκάφος της εταιρείας Small Planet, που εκτελούσε πτήση τσάρτερ για το Κατοβίτσε της Πολωνίας, από το αεροδρόμιο «Νίκος Καζαντζάκης» του Ηρακλείου, με αποτέλεσμα να επιστρέψει το βράδυ της Κυριακής στην Κρήτη.

Όπως αναφέρεται σε δημοσίευμα του CretaLive.gr, λίγα λεπτά μετά την απογείωση, ο πιλότος διαπίστωσε κάποιο πρόβλημα σε κινητήρα του αεροπλάνου και ειδοποίησε τον Πύργο Ελέγχου ότι επιστρέφει.

Στο αεροδρόμιο σήμανε συναγερμός και τέθηκε σε εφαρμογή το σχετικό πρωτόκολλο ασφαλείας, ενώ κινητοποιήθηκε και η πυροσβεστική υπηρεσία.

Το αεροσκάφος προσγειώθηκε με ασφάλεια και πάλι στο «Νίκος Καζαντζάκης» προκειμένου να ελεγχθεί από τεχνικούς, και να διαπιστωθεί αν είναι σε θέση να ολοκληρώσει το ταξίδι.
