Πλοίο του αμερικανικού πολεμικού ναυτικού πραγματοποίησε επιχείρηση ελεύθερης ναυσιπλοΐας κοντά σε αμφισβητούμενο ύφαλο στη Νότια Σινική Θάλασσα, σύμφωνα με ανακοίνωση του αμερικανικού υπουργείου Άμυνας.

Η επιχείρηση έγινε κοντά στον ύφαλο “Cross Reef” ο οποίος βρίσκεται υπό τον έλεγχο της Κίνας “προκειμένου να διαπιστωθούν οι διεκδικήσεις παράκτιων χωρών γύρω από τη Νότια Σινική Θάλασσα,” ανέφερε η ανακοίνωση.
