Κατεδαφίστηκαν οι δύο τελευταίο πύργοι του διάσημου καζίνο Riviera, το οποίο έκλεισε τον Μάιο του 2015, μετά την αγορά του από την εταιρεία Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, η οποία σκοπεύει να «σηκώσει» στο ίδιο σημείο ένα τεράστιο συνεδριακό κέντρο,αναφέρει δημοσίευμα της Βρετανικής Daily Telegraph.

Η κατεδάφιση πραγματοποιήθηκε στις 2:30 τα ξημερώματα, πριν καν ξημερώσει και έδωσε εντυπωσιακά πλάνα σε όσους την παρακολούθησαν δια ζώσης.

Είχε φιλοξενήσει εμφανίσεις καλλιτεχνών όπως ο Λιμπεράτσε και ο Ντιν Μάρτιν, ενώ σε αυτό είχαν γυριστεί πολλές ταινίες όπως το «Ocean’s 11» και «Τζέιμς Μποντ: Τα διαμάντια είναι παντοτινά».
