Ο ηγέτης του Κόμματος Ανεξαρτησίας του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου (Ukip) Νάιτζελ Φάρατζ δεν κατάφερε να εκλεγεί στο Ουεστμίνστερ.

Το μεσημέρι της Παρασκευής, ανακοινώθηκαν τα αποτελέσματα για την περιφέρεια του Σάουθ Τένετ. Επικράτησε τελικά ο υποψήφιος των Συντηρητικών Κρεγκ ΜακΚίνλεϊ, αφήνοντας δεύτερο τον Φάρατζ.

Σε όλη τη βρετανική επικράτεια, υποψηφίους του UKIP ψήφισε περίπου το 12,8% των βρετανών ψηφοφόρων. Λίγο πριν την ολοκλήρωση των αποτελεσμάτων όμως, το UKIP κατάφερε να εκλέξει μόνο έναν βουλευτή.
