Τέσσερις στρατιώτες σκοτώθηκαν και δύο ακόμη τραυματίστηκαν όταν μια βόμβα έπληξε το στρατιωτικό όχημα στο οποίο επέβαιναν, ενώ ταξίδευαν στην επαρχία Μαρντίν στη νοτιοανατολική Τουρκία, όπου η πλειονότητα των κατοίκων είναι Κούρδοι, ανέφεραν σήμερα, Παρασκευή, οι δυνάμεις ασφαλείας.

Η Άγκυρα εξαπέλυσε μεγάλη επιχείρηση εναντίον του Εργατικού Κόμματος του Κουρδιστάν (PKK), μετά την κατάρρευση, το περασμένο καλοκαίρι, μιας εκεχειρίας που διήρκεσε δύο χρόνια σε μια εξέγερση που ξέσπασε το 1984 και έχει προκαλέσει ήδη περισσότερους από 40.000 θανάτους.
