Ο πάλαι ποτέ ισχυρός του Χόλιγουντ, παραδόθηκε στις αρχές της Νέας Υόρκης για να αντιμετωπίσει τις κατηγορίες σεξουαλικής κακοποίησης.
Ο Weinstein κατέφθασε στο τμήμα του Μανχάταν για να αντιμετωπίσει τουλάχιστον μία από τις κατηγορίες που έχουν κατατεθεί εναντίον του, εν προκειμένω της Lucia Evans.
Είναι η πρώτη εγκληματική υπόθεση που αντιμετωπίζει ο Weinstein, μετά τη σειρά αποκαλύψεων εις βάρος του που ξεκίνησαν τον περασμένο Οκτώβριο και πυροδότησαν το κίνημα #MeToo.
Ο 66-χρονος συνεχίζει να αρνείται όλες τις κατηγορίες.
