Σοβαρά ερωτήματα σχετικά με την πραγματική έκβαση των τουρκικών πολεμικών επιχειρήσεων κατά του ISIS στη Συρία προκύπτουν από προπαγανδιστικά βίντεο τα οποία δημοσιοποίησε το ISIS: Στο πρώτο- και πιο φρικιαστικό- τζιχαντιστές εμφανίζονται να καίνε ζωντανούς φερόμενους Τούρκους στρατιώτες, οι οποίοι είχαν αιχμαλωτιστεί στα τέλη του Νοεμβρίου, με την οργάνωση να υποστηρίζει πως πρόκειται για αντίποινα σε φόνους μουσουλμάνων από τις τουρκικές ένοπλες δυνάμεις. Σημειώνεται πως δεν έχει επιβεβαιωθεί η εγκυρότητά του, ενώ δεν έχει υπάρξει επίσημη ανακοίνωση από την Τουρκία. Το ISIS κυκλοφόρησε το βίντεο μέσω online λογαριασμών του και της εφαρμογής messaging Telegram.

Ακολουθεί το επίμαχο βίντεο μονταρισμένο έτσι ώστε να απουσιάζουν οι πλέον σκληρές σκηνές.

Σημειώνεται πως τουλάχιστον 16 Τούρκοι στρατιώτες σκοτώθηκαν σε επίθεση στις 21 Δεκεμβρίου στην Αλ Μπαμπ, καθώς είναι σε εξέλιξη οι μάχες για να τεθεί υπό τον έλεγχο του τουρκικού στρατού και των ανταρτών που υποστηρίζονται από την Άγκυρα.

Στο μεταξύ, στο Διαδίκτυο ανέβηκε από τζιχαντιστές και βίντεο όπου τζιχαντιστές εμφανίζονται με φερόμενα λάφυρα από Τούρκους στρατιώτες – μεταξύ των οποίων και ένα τουρκικό άρμα μάχης Leopard 2A4.

Σημειώνεται πως κατά καιρούς έχουν εμφανιστεί και άλλα βίντεο με προσβολές τουρκικών μονάδων και δυνάμεων στη Συρία.
