Λίγες ώρες μετά την ανακοίνωση των αρχών πως δεν εκτιμάται να βρεθούν άλλοι επιζώντες μετά τον φονικό σεισμό που χτύπησε το Νεπάλ την προηγούμενη εβδομάδα, ανασύρθηκε ζωντανός από συντρίμμια στην πόλη Νουακότι άνδρας 101 ετών, ο οποίος έφερε μόνο ελαφρά τραύματα.

Σύμφωνα με αξιωματούχο της τοπικής αστυνομίας, ο Φούντσου Ταμάνγκ μεταφέρθηκε με ελικόπτερο σε νοσοκομείο της περιοχής, η κατάσταση του είναι σταθερή και η οικογένειά του είναι στο πλευρό του.

Την ίδια μέρα διασώθηκαν άλλοι τρεις άνθρωποι σε ορεινό χωριό κοντά στην πρωτεύουσα.
