Θύμα «στοχευμένης επίθεσης» ήταν η βουλευτίνα Τζο Κοξ που δολοφονήθηκε την Πέμπτη, μέσα στη μέση του δρόμου, κοντά στη δημοτική βιβλιοθήκη της κωμόπολης Μπίρστολ, ανακοίνωσε σήμερα η βρετανική αστυνομία.

Οι αστυνομικές αρχές σημείωσαν ότι οι έρευνες που είναι σε εξέλιξη για τη δολοφονία της 41χρονης Κοξ στρέφονται κατά προτεραιότητα στο ενδεχόμενο να ήταν μια πράξη «ακροδεξιού εξτρεμισμού».
