Σεισμική δόνηση μεγέθους 4,5 βαθμών σημειώθηκε στη 01:01 τα ξημερώματα του Σαββάτου στον υποθαλάσσιο χώρο νότια-νοτιοανατολικά της Ιεράπετρας Λασιθίου κι έγινε αισθητή στην περιοχή της ευρύτερης περιοχής της Ιεράπετρας του Μακρύ Γιαλού και στα νότια παράλια του Νομού Λασιθίου.

Σύμφωνα με το Γεωδυναμικό Ινστιτούτο του Εθνικού Αστεροσκοπείου Αθηνών, η δόνηση σημειώθηκε σε απόσταση 382 χλμ. νότια-νοτιανατολικά της Αθήνας και το επίκεντρο της εντοπίζεται στον υποθαλάσσιο χώρο 9 χιλιόμετρα ανατολικά-νοτιοανατολικά της Ιεράπετρας.
