Οι προτάσεις ονομάτων για τους νέους πλανήτες, έπεσαν βροχή. Κάποιοι εμπνεύστηκαν από τα 7 βιβλία του Χάρι Πότερ, άλλοι από τις 7 ταινίες του Fast and the Furious, άλλοι από το Game of Thrones, άλλοι από τα 7 μοντέλα των iPhone, και αρκετοί από τον Ντόναλντ Τραμπ.
Παρόλο που πολλές από τις προτάσεις που έπεσαν στο τραπέζι έχουν γίνει viral, δεν είναι σαφές πάντως αν η NASA θα λάβει υπόψη αυτές τις προτάσεις.
